Use of Seat Belts in CCVTs

Following the accident that occurred at a club event in May the ALRC Council are waiting for the coroners recommendations and MSA comments to be published before considering if any change is necessary to the ALRC Competition Regulations.

In the interim, for CCVT events we recommend the use of a full harness but should members choose to wear a lap belt, regardless of the style of belt fitted all competitors must be made aware that belts should be securely fastened and adjusted tightly.

Also as a precautionary measure all club scrutineers are asked to check the height of drivers when sitting in their seat to ensure that their head is away from the roll cage.
