Common Scrutineering Issues:

> Recovery points not correct, if Jate rings are used on an RTV vehicle, then they cannot be used
individually, one is needed on each chassis leg and a bridle arrangement to share the load.
> Recovery point loose
> No bump stops or incorrect bump stops fitted
> Batteries not secured correctly
> Wiring not secured and liable to Chafe
> Loose pipe work
> Large or heavy items not secured in back of vehicles
> Steering joints, loose, excessively worn,
> Steering drop arm loose on steering box
> Panhard rod bushes, excessively worn
> Tyres not adequately covered by mudguards/ spats
> Bumpers on CCV & RTV vehicles should be straight, however C&D are currently allowing the
end to be no more than 40 mm “ bent back or out of line”
> CCV vehicles fire extinguishers not in date ( no more than 2 years from either, date of
manufacture or last service) and not secured with 2 metal over-centre straps.
> CCV, The ALRC log book must be available at all events to be reviewed if necessary by the
scrutineer.
> RTV, All RTV vehicles must be road legal, and be taxed and have a valid MOT, unless exempt
exempt due to age and compliant with the MOT exemption rules.

Time Trial – What you need to take part!

  • Full CDLRC Membership Card
  • MSUK RS Clubman Licence
  • Full Road License
  • MSUK Approved Helmet

Passengers need:

  • Full CDLRC Membership Card
  • MSUK RS Clubman Licence
  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • Written consent from guardian if U18
  • MSUK Approved Helmet

RTV – What you need to take part!

RTV

  • Full CDLRC Membership Card
  • MSUK RS Clubman Licence
  • Full Road License
  • Road Legal Vehicle

Passengers need:

  • Full or Associate CDLRC Membership Card
  • MSUK RS Clubman Licence
  • Minimum 14 years of age
  • Written consent from guardian if U18

CCV – What you need to take part!

Comp Safari – What you need to take part!

Competitive Safari

Please note, to enter any Cornwall & Devon Land Rover Club competition vehicles must comply with the current ALRC regulations applicable to the event unless it’s a privilege event.

These can be found in the ALRC Hand book and Cornwall & Devon LRC Supplementary Regs booklet which you will receive with your membership.

Drivers need: 

  • Full CDLRC Membership Card
  • MSUK RS Clubman Licence or higher
  • Full Road License
  • MSUK Approved Helmet & FHR
  • For privilege events if you are using a vehicle that does not fall in to an ALRC class then you need all of the above AND a full membership of another MSUK recognised club I.e AWDC or similar.

Passengers need:

  • Full CDLRC Membership Card
  • MSUK RS Clubman Licence or higher
  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • Written consent from guardian if U18
  • MSUK Approved Helmet & FHR

JTV/Tyro – What you need to take part!

Tyro*

Please note, to enter any Cornwall & Devon Land Rover Club competition vehicles must comply with the current ALRC regulations applicable to the event.

These can be found in the ALRC Hand book and Cornwall & Devon LRC Supplementry Regs booklet which you will receive with your membership.

Drivers need:

  • Full, or Associate CDLRC Membership Card
  • MSUK RS Clubman Licence
  • Minimum 13 years of age
  • Written consent from guardian if U18

Passengers need:

  • Full or Associate CDLRC Membership Card
  • MSUK RS Clubman Licence
  • Full road license and experience of off road trials if driver does not hold full license
  • Minimum 14 years of age
  • Written consent from guardian if U18

*If driver holds a Full road license, passengers may be carried in rear seats.  Seats must be forward facing.  Passengers must be belted in. Min age 2.

Under 4 to be in proper child seat.  Rear seat passengers do not need to be signed on.  Written consent required for all persons under 18.

JTV
